Potty Prof POV

I had finally taken my body back from that stupid excuse of a man. I looked up to see Lucy. I blushed then got myself together. “Get out of my face!” Lucy fell back onto her butt. Lucy looked at me the look of sadness tinting her face. I hated it. I wanted her to be happy. I just didn’t know how… I began to believe she loved the other side of me better than my true self… But how could you blame her? I have pushed her away to protect myself. I don’t want to be hurt like the last time I fell in love, like with Hilda, she left me and gave up when she saw I that I had changed after Forbodium... I sighed running a hand through my curly maroon hair. I did not like feeling pain in my heart, it hurt more than ever when Lucy looks like she afraid of me. Better to be feared by her than to hurt by her……. Right….? Lucy stood up, and she began to dust herself off. “I am sorry Professor… I was just worried you were hurt…” I felt a pang in my chest. ‘Why is she so nice to me when I treat her like trash? I want her to love me, but I don’t need to feel pain again’ I looked at her she flinched under my gaze. “Why?” I asked. Lucy blinked in confusion “Why what?” I looked to the ground my hair covering my eyes. “Why are you so kind to me Lucy? I do nothing but scare you away and yet here you are.” I heard Lucy’s footsteps begin to walk to me, she stopped in front of me. “Professor… I know you think you are scary and at times I must admit you can be scary, but it doesn’t change that you are my dear friend and I care about you. No matter what personality. Placid Prof or Potty Prof. We are partners and friends…” I looked up at her my eyes filled with shock. Her hand was extended for me to reach so she could help me up a look of care in her dark red eyes. “L-Lucy…” I took her hand and she helped me up. “Now let’s get you a good cuppa coffee!” She led me gently to my seat and I took a seat with a light plop. I was still surprised on what she had said. She walked away to make the coffee my eyes never leaving her. ‘She cares about me?’ No. ‘She cares about us.’ I smirked.

NORMAL POV
She walks over to him, handing him the warm tea, “’Ere you go, Prof~!” She smiles warmly, but she is cautious to not give him anything to shout about, “Also, it’s a tad hot, so don’t burn your tongue.” She added. “mmhm.” He nods, taking a sip, only to swallow painfully, “Could you make it any more hot??!” He shouted, obvious sarcasm pooling in his words, “But I just said it were hot!” She argued in return, but his glare shout down the rational statement, “You said a tad?! A tad means little, does it not??” “Yes but, aren’t you maybe, over reacting, Prof?! It’s not like I poisoned it or your tongue is scarred!” She chided, feeling a pang of annoyance at the ever so moody detective, “I- I know that! But a little is very different from a lot, idiot!” He complained, ‘Stop it, you’re being irrational, she seems upset..’ his other half argues inside his head, he looks at the slightly hurt looking Lucy. “Prof…” she began, ‘He acts as moody as a teenager… actually, the idea of him as a teenager is very scary, hehe, but kind of funny, heh’ her hurt expression quickly turns into a smile, “You can be so moody, Potty Prof~! Why don’t you just calm down and enjoy your cuppa~! I made it for you, and it can’t just go to waste, hm?” She smiles, her optimistic mood affecting him as well, so his frown dissolves and returns to the neutral expression, but except, lightly blushing and perhaps a little, shy? Lucy considers this, but shakes it off quickly
He sighed and sipped the tea, now lukewarm from cooling as the two argued, Lucy was now sitting comfortably on the couch, he sighed as he looked at her, but whenever they locked eyes, they would blush awkwardly and stare back to the case files they had in hand. “Isn’t it pretty out today, Prof? Perhaps we could crack a window and have some fresh air in the dusty room!” She smiles, staring happily at the window, “Last thing we need in here is bugs, Lucy.” He responds, looking back to his files, “I guess that’s no, then, eh?” She chuckles, looking back to the window and then to the man. The duo began to go over cases as the day slowly became night. Lucy knew full well her work shift was over, but she and the Professor were really on a role. So they continued until they finished the last case in the stack, now an awkward silence filled the room. The faint sounds of cars coming and going were heard from the street, the two sat in an awkward yet peaceful silence… until.. “would you like to go out for dinner with me Prof?” It hit the older man like a sack of bricks. “W-what?” he asked wanting to make sure what she said was real or not. He had multiple personality disorder, anger issues and obsessed with murder, might as well add hearing voices. Lucy blushed “Would you like to go out to eat with me?” Alfendi blushed , but covered his face with his hair. “Fine. But no seafood.” Lucy jumped up then smiled. “YAY” .
Ok so here is chapter two. Sorry it took me so long, I had it written down and then my computer crashed on me. I had a rage quit then I saw that people had commented and I felt like poo for not finishing it sooner. Here it is, a bit late but here and I promise to update chapters sooner. Hope you like it.
